Allison is a wife, mother, and social worker living in Minnesota. She quit her full time job to attend graduate school, but instead chose to put her resources towards her and her husband's fertility struggles. After almost four years of infertility and loss, she had a son and chose to stay home with him instead of returning to work outside of the home. 18 months later, she gave birth to a second baby boy - the best surprise ever.

Staying home with kids in this era isn’t the norm and Allison found herself struggling with identity and value as an educated woman, feminist, and mother working inside the home. This blog is a resolution Allison made to herself, to balance the feelings of isolation and absolute joy as she stays home with her children each day.
